The Leibniz Institute for Crystal Growth
The Leibniz Institute for Crystal Growth is a federally funded research and service institute. The institute is deeply engaged in investigating the scientific and technical basic principles of the growth, machining and the physical and chemical characterization of crystalline solids. Current research includes the development of materials mainly used in micro, opto- and power electronics, photovoltaics, in optics and laser technology as well as in sensor technology and acoustoelectronics.
Staying in the forefront of crystal growth requires a continuing learning, therefore, the institute places importance on professional development and continuing education, equal employment opportunities as well as a family-friendly environment. The institute has been granted the family-friendly certification "audit berufundfamilie" in 2015.
