III General information on data processing

3.1 Scope of the processing of personal data
We process the personal data of our users only to the extent necessary to provide a functioning website and our content and services. The processing of personal data of our users only takes place with the consent of the user. An exception applies in those cases in which it is not possible to obtain prior consent for actual reasons and the processing of the data is permitted by statutory provisions.

3.2 Legal basis for the processing of personal data
Insofar as we obtain the consent of the person concerned for the processing of personal data, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a EU Data Protection Basic Regulation (DSGVO) serves as the legal basis.
Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b DSGVO serves as the legal basis for the processing of personal data required for the fulfilment of a contract of which the person concerned is the contractual party. This also applies to processing operations that are necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures.
To the extent that the processing of personal data is required to fulfil a legal obligation which the ICZ/FVB must fulfil, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c DSGVO serves as the legal basis.
Art. 6 para. 1 lit. d DSGVO serves as a legal basis in the event that vital interests of the data subject or another natural person necessitate the processing of personal data.
If the processing is necessary to safeguard a legitimate interest of the ICZ/FVB or a third party and if the interests, fundamental rights and fundamental freedoms of the data subject do not outweigh the first-mentioned interest, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO serves as the legal basis for the processing.

3.3 Data deletion and storage period
The personal data of the person concerned will be deleted or blocked as soon as the purpose of storage no longer applies. In addition, the data may be stored if the European or national legislator has provided for this in EU ordinances, laws or other regulations to which the IKZ/FVB is subject. The data shall also be blocked or deleted if a storage period prescribed by the aforementioned standards expires, unless it is necessary for further storage of the data for the conclusion or performance of a contract.

IV. Provision of the website and creation of logfiles

Each time you access our website, our system automatically collects data and information from the computer system of the accessing computer in log files.
The following data is collected and stored in the log files of our systems:

  • Date and time of access
  • The IP address of the user
  • Websites accessed by the user's system through our website
  • Websites from which the user's system accesses our website
  • Information about browser type and version used
  • Information about the user's operating system
  • Information about the user's Internet service provider

These data are not stored together with other personal data of the user.

The data is stored in log files to ensure the functionality of the website. Furthermore, the data is used to improve the website, to eliminate possible faults and to maintain the security of our information technology systems.
The data are deleted as soon as they are no longer required for the purpose of their collection. This happens when the website is made available at the end of the session.
Log files are usually deleted after 90 days at the latest. If, due to technical requirements or security aspects, the IKZ/FVB has to store log files for a longer period of time, the IP addresses of the users will be deleted or alienated, thus preventing identification of the user.
Storage is mandatory and does not allow the user to object.

The legal basis for the storage of data and log files is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO.

V. Use of cookies

5.1 Technically necessary cookies

We use cookies to make our website more user-friendly. Some elements of our website require that the calling browser can be identified even after a page change.
The following data is stored and transmitted in the cookies:

  • the language settings chosen by the user
  • the session data of your session, so that the correct spray is available even after selecting the next page. No further evaluations or statistical analyses will be performed.

Both cookies are deleted after closing the session. A user profile is not created by technically necessary cookies. The legal basis for the use of these cookies can be found in Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO.

Google Maps
Our institute uses Google Maps (Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA) to display maps and geographical positions. The use of Google Maps is in the interest of an appealing representation of our online offers and an easy findability of the indicated places. This is our legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f DSGVO. When you call up a website with a Google Maps map, your browser automatically transfers data to Google Maps. This data is collected and used by Google. Google uses cookies. In this context, please also note Google's privacy policy, terms of use for Google Maps and information on transparency and choices as well as the available browser plug-in ( Alternatively, you can disable JavaScript in your browser settings. With this setting, the map display is no longer available.

VI. data transmission

Your personal data will only be transmitted to state institutions and authorities in legally required cases or for criminal prosecution due to attacks on our network infrastructure. The data will not be passed on to third parties for other purposes.

VII Rights of the data subject

If personal data is processed by you, you are affected in the sense of the DSGVO and you are entitled to the following rights vis-à-vis the person responsible - insofar as no legal exceptions apply in individual cases:
