Working Group Chemical & Thermodynamical Analysis - Summary

Chemical and thermodynamic analyses are mainly used to prepare crystal growth procedures. Therefore, this working group is mainly focused on providing chemical and thermodynamic analyses of precursors and additives ( e.g. crucibles, ceramics) as well as crystal growth procedures to in-house groups as well to external partners. Furthermore, the group provides quantitative data needed for crystal growth procedures, e.g. to observe the partition coefficients of dopants or for drawing up phase diagrams.

Moreover, the group carries out investigations on thermodynamic calculations for phase equilibriums which are conducive to drawing phase diagrams and to support evaluations on the stability zone of precursors and additives on terms and condition of crystal growth procedures (temperature, chemical attack).
