The German-Korean Workshop will convene leading experts to explore the latest advancements in bulk growth of lattice-matched substrates, epitaxial growth of heterostructures via PLD and MBE, and MOCVD and the fundamental material properties of LaInO3, BaSnO3, and their heterostructures. Topics will include atomic-scale interface studies, polarization phenomena, 2DEGs, transport properties, doping, and defect-related properties, as well as the solid-state theory of surfaces and interfaces. The workshop will also delve into quantum phenomena at interfaces under low temperatures and high magnetic fields. Issues in integrating a ferroelectric perovskite oxide with BaSnO3 will be discussed. Through a series of invited talks and a concluding discussion, participants will identify key scientific questions for future collaborative projects between IKZ, PDI, SNU, and other partners.
The 16th IKZ Summer School and German-Korean Workshop will be supported and financed by Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) through the “Initiation of International Collaboration Programme”.
