Every seven years, the Leibniz Association's evaluation process examines how an institution has developed in terms of research, cooperation, promoting young talent, and social transfer. External experts compile an evaluation report based on a self-assessment and an on-site visit, on the basis of which the Senate makes a recommendation for further funding.
