III. General information on data processing

3.1 Scope of the processing of personal data
We process the personal data of our users only to the extent necessary to provide a functioning website and our content and services. The processing of personal data of our users only takes place with the consent of the user. An exception applies in those cases in which it is not possible to obtain prior consent for actual reasons and the processing of the data is permitted by statutory provisions.

3.2 Legal basis for the processing of personal data
Insofar as we obtain the consent of the data subject for processing of personal data, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) serves as the legal basis.
When processing personal data that is necessary for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is a party, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR serves as the legal basis. This also applies to processing operations which are necessary to carry out pre-contractual measures.
Insofar as processing of personal data is necessary to fulfill a legal obligation which the IKZ/FVB must fulfil, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c GDPR serves as the legal basis.
In the event that vital interests of the data subject or another natural person require the processing of personal data, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. d GDPR serves as the legal basis.
If the processing is necessary to safeguard a legitimate interest of the IKZ/FVB or a third party and the interests, fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject do not outweigh the former interest, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR serves as the legal basis for the processing.

3.3 Data deletion and storage period
The personal data of the person concerned will be deleted or blocked as soon as the purpose of storage no longer applies. In addition, the data may be stored if the European or national legislator has provided for this in EU ordinances, laws or other regulations to which the IKZ/FVB is subject. The data shall also be blocked or deleted if a storage period prescribed by the aforementioned standards expires, unless it is necessary for further storage of the data for the conclusion or performance of a contract.
 



IV. Provision of the website and creation of logfiles

Each time you access our website, our system automatically collects data and information from the computer system of the accessing computer in log files.
The following data is collected and stored in the log files of our systems:

  • Date and time of access
  • The IP address of the user
  • Websites accessed by the user's system through our website
  • Websites from which the user's system accesses our website
  • Information about browser type and version used
  • Information about the user's operating system
  • Information about the user's internet service provider

These data are not stored together with other personal data of the user.

The data is stored in log files to ensure the functionality of the website. Furthermore, the data is used to improve the website, to eliminate possible faults and to maintain the security of our information technology systems.
The data are deleted as soon as they are no longer required for the purpose of their collection. In the case of using the website this happens when the session is ended.
Log files are usually deleted after 90 days at the latest. If, due to technical requirements or security aspects, the IKZ/FVB has to store log files for a longer period of time, the IP addresses of the users will be deleted or alienated, thus preventing identification of the user.
Storage is mandatory and does not allow the user to object.

The legal basis for the storage of data and log files is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR.

We deliberately do not use cookies on our website.
 



VI. Data transmission

Your personal data will only be transmitted to state institutions and authorities in legally required cases or for criminal prosecution due to attacks on our network infrastructure. The data will not be passed on to third parties for other purposes.
